Job summary

JK Maini Precision Technology in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day production across all lines, ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource use.

The role emphasizes driving OEE, lean improvements, and cost control while aligning with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer requirements. You will mentor teams, foster safety, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across functions.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or Automobile Eng.
• MBA in Operations preferred.
• 15–20 years in automotive component manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role with OEM/Tier-1 exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities across all manufacturing lines.
• Achieve production targets with optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Improve OEE, productivity, and capacity utilization.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Drive cost reduction through VAVE, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen projects.
• Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Lead capacity expansion, new machine installation, and process improvements.
• Work closely with PPC, Purchase, Stores, and Quality teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Lead and mentor Production, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, and Stores teams.

Job Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations

• Lead day-to-day production activities across all manufacturing lines.
• Achieve production targets with optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), productivity, and capacity utilization.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments.

Quality Management

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Drive zero-defect manufacturing and reduction of customer complaints.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and corrective actions.

Maintenance & Engineering

• Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Minimize machine breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
• Lead capacity expansion, new machine installation, and process improvements.

Cost Management

• Drive cost reduction through VAVE, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen projects.
• Control manufacturing expenses, tooling costs, consumables, overtime, and scrap.
• Improve productivity through automation and process optimization.

Supply Chain Coordination

• Work closely with PPC, Purchase, Stores, and Quality teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor inventory, WIP, and material availability.

Customer Management

• Support customer audits and visits.
• Ensure timely closure of customer concerns and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain delivery and quality performance as per customer expectations.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor Production, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, and Stores teams.
• Develop succession plans and build high-performing teams.
• Drive employee engagement, discipline, and performance management.

Continuous Improvement

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives.
• Improve OEE, reduce downtime, cycle time, and manufacturing losses.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure statutory, environmental, and safety compliance.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain zero lost-time accidents.
