Job summary

Amor Management Consultants seeks a senior Production/Operations leader to manage the Electric 3-Wheeler TCF line, driving PQCDSM goals and smooth ramp-up. The role collaborates with Quality, Supply Chain, IE, Maintenance and Design teams to resolve issues, implement CAPA and sustain continuous improvement.

You will lead manpower planning, training and performance, while ensuring compliance with SOPs, PFMEA and automotive quality standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• 8–13 years in Production or Vehicle Assembly from 3 Wheeler or 4 Wheeler segment
• BE/BTech Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile or Production Engineering
• EV/Electric 3-Wheeler manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong shopfloor management and manpower planning
• Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, OEE knowledge
• RCA, 8D, 7 QC Tools and problem-solving methods
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and take quick operational decisions

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets with optimal resource use
• Lead Electric 3-Wheeler Trim, Chassis and Final Assembly operations
• Drive improvements in PQCDSM (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale)
• Improve line efficiency, line balancing, capacity utilization and OEE
• Monitor FPY and reduce defects, rework and losses
• Conduct RCA, Fishbone, 5 Why, 8D and QC tools for issues
• Implement CAPA and Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, PFMEA, Process Validation and Automotive standards
• Lead manpower planning and training; support NPI and ramp-ups
• Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, IE, Maintenance and Design teams
• Monitor KPIs: Plan vs Actual, OEE, FPY, cycle time, on-time delivery
• Ensure EHS compliance and data-driven decisions on shopfloor performance

Job Purpose

Lead and manage manufacturing operations for the Electric 3-Wheeler TCF (Trim, Chassis & Final Assembly) Line. The role is responsible for achieving production targets while driving continuous improvement in Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale (PQCDSM).

The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth shopfloor operations, production ramp-up, issue resolution and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets through effective utilization of manpower, equipment and manufacturing resources.
• Manage and lead Electric 3-Wheeler Trim, Chassis and Final Assembly operations.
• Drive improvements in Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale.
• Improve line efficiency, line balancing, capacity utilization, cycle time and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) while reducing defects, rework, rejection and process losses.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fishbone Analysis, 5 Why, 8D and 7 QC Tools for production and quality issues.
• Implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to SOP, Control Plan, PFMEA, Process Validation and Automotive Quality Standards.
• Lead manpower planning, workforce allocation, skill development, training and performance management.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot builds, new model launches and production ramp-up.
• Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams for timely issue resolution.
• Monitor production KPIs including Plan vs Actual, OEE, FPY, Line Efficiency, Productivity, Cycle Time, Defect Reduction, Cost Reduction and On-Time Delivery.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, safety standards and shopfloor manufacturing processes.
• Drive data-based decision-making to improve manufacturing performance and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 8 - 13 Years in Production or Vehicle Assembly from 3 Wheeler or 4 Wheeler vehicle segment
• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile / Production Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience in Production and Assembly Operations, preferably TCF, Trim Line, Chassis Assembly or Final Vehicle Assembly.
• Experience in Electric Vehicle / Electric 3-Wheeler manufacturing will be highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of EV Assembly, Wiring Harness, Vehicle Electrical Systems and Electrical Troubleshooting.
• Strong experience in shopfloor management, manpower planning, production planning and team handling.
• Hands-on exposure to Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Cycle Time Reduction and Productivity Improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, OEE and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience in RCA, 8D, 7 QC Tools, Fishbone Analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and take quick operational decisions in a high-pressure production environment.
