Job summary

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation in India is seeking a Team Leader – Genset Assembly to oversee daily production plans and drive assembly targets. You will lead operators and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure on-time output.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical and 5–8 years of genset assembly experience, with strong skills in reading drawings, BOMs, SAP transactions, and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in genset assembly/manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and 5S practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily production plans and achieve assembly targets.
• Monitor genset assembly including engine, alternator, canopy, fuel system, wiring and final fitment.
• Ensure line balancing and optimum manpower utilization.
• Coordinate with Stores, Planning, Quality, Testing and Maintenance teams.
• Lead, train and motivate assembly operators and technicians.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and review production performance.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity and skill development.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and safety requirements.
• Drive productivity, quality and cost-improvement initiatives.

Position Details

• Designation: Team Leader – Genset Assembly
• Reporting To: Production Manager
• Location: Chh. Sambhajinagar
• Experience: 5 to 8 Years
• Qualification: Diploma – Electrical or mechanical

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily production plans and achieve assembly targets.
• Monitor complete genset assembly activities including engine, alternator, canopy, fuel system, wiring, and final fitment.
• Ensure line balancing and optimum manpower utilization.
• Coordinate with Stores, Planning, Quality, Testing, and Maintenance teams.
• Lead, train, and motivate assembly operators and technicians.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and review production performance.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and skill development.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and safety requirements.
• Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Drive productivity, quality, and cost-improvement initiatives.
