Job description

Cvent is a leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider with more than 4,800 employees and ~22,000 customers worldwide, including 53% of the Fortune 500. Founded in 1999, Cvent delivers a comprehensive event marketing and management platform for marketers and event professionals and offers software solutions to hotels, special event venues and destinations to help them grow their group/MICE and corporate travel business. Our technology brings millions of people together at events around the world. In short, we’re transforming the meetings and events industry through innovative technology that powers the human connection.

About The Role

Team Lead - Social Media plays a pivotal role in transforming Cvent’s organic social presence into a credible, people-powered storytelling ecosystem that drives engagement, visibility, and brand trust. Based in India, this role partners with the US-based Corporate Communications leadership team to craft and publish content for Cvent’s owned social channels, manage social reputation and engagement, and proactively monitor and optimize brand performance metrics. This is a high-impact individual contributor position requiring exceptional creativity, writing precision, and the ability to balance brand authority with human authenticity. The ideal candidate has a strategic understanding of the B2B social environment and a creative instinct for bringing complex, marketing-first content to life (i.e. transforming customer success stories, event moments, marketing campaigns and corporate narratives into relatable, scroll-stopping social content that people genuinely want to engage with). As part of a global-leading brand, this person will help shape a social environment that customers, prospects, industry professionals, and employees gravitate toward — one that blends true thought leadership, community, and creativity. They’ll also be expected to leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency, insight, and innovation in everyday social workflows.

Core Responsibilities
Content Creation & Channel Excellence
  • Lead end-to-end creation, localization, and publishing of branded organic social content across Cvent’s primary channels (LinkedIn/Instagram as the primary platforms; Facebook and X as secondary, TikTok expertise also required).
  • Write high-impact, channel-native copy aligned with Cvent’s US brand voice and audience expectations while ensuring cultural and regional relevance.
  • Take a creative, editorial approach to transforming traditional B2B content and turning complex or product-driven topics into compelling stories that spark curiosity and stop the scroll.
  • Use Cvent-approved AI tools to ideate, refine, and scale content efficiently — from headlines and short-form posts to carousel concepts.
  • Maintain editorial calendars, approvals, and publishing workflows; ensure UTM and tagging consistency across all campaigns.
  • Leverage online creative tools like Canva and partner with internal creative resources to elevate graphic/video design quality and visual storytelling that aligns with corporate branding.
Employee Advocacy Enablement (Oktopost)
  • Curate and publish employee advocacy posts via Oktopost with accurate tagging and UTMs; keep the advocacy content library fresh and aligned to current campaigns and themes.
  • Partner with regional and functional teams to source advocate‑ready content; run enablement cadences in Slack/team channels (tips, curated picks, shout‑outs, quick wins).
  • Coordinate with the Social Media Manager on cohort pilots (e.g., gamified groups) and platform best practices; maintain advocacy process docs and guidelines.
AI-Driven Optimization & Insights
  • Leverage AI-driven social listening and trend monitoring to surface relevant industry conversations and emerging content themes for brand engagement opportunities.
  • Use AI to synthesize post or campaign performance data into insights and recommendations that drive smarter content planning.
Campaign Activation & Brand Storytelling
  • Execute social components of flagship brand campaigns and events (e.g., Cvent CONNECT, Accelerate, and Cvent Top Lists), coordinating across creative, PR, and field marketing.
  • Capture and repurpose real-time moments and user-generated content into high-performing social assets.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure cohesive campaign amplification across markets.
Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Measure and report social performance via Oktopost, Adobe, and platform native analytics.
  • Present monthly social impact summaries highlighting wins, learnings, and future experiments.
  • Recommend iterative testing plans (copy tone, timing, creative format) informed by performance data and AI insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance
  • Partner closely with Corp Comm, Creative and Field Marketing teams to align messaging and maintain consistent brand standards.
  • Support adherence to governance standards — including UTM hygiene, channel bios, and social process documentation.
  • Occasionally collaborate with advocacy, sales, client services, customer marketing, or leadership enablement initiatives to provide social expertise or adapt brand content for those programs.
Executive Thought Leadership Growth
  • Support senior executives’ LinkedIn presence by shaping content pillars, drafting posts in‑voice, coordinating cadence/approvals, and packaging timely moments from events, media, and campaigns.
  • Track content‑type trends and engagement signals at the profile level and summarize guidance.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of organic social experience supporting a US-based or global B2B brand.
  • Social platform fluency (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X) and analytics competency.
  • Proven record driving publishing, advocacy, social listening/ORM, approvals, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated use of AI in social workflows (content generation, listening insights, optimization).
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills (clear, concise, and adaptable across formats and channels).
  • Strong understanding of social media ecosystems: corporate channels, employee advocacy, executive visibility, and customer amplification.
  • Strong partnership skills with PR, field marketing, creative/video, analytics/web, and agency stakeholders; ability to take feedback and incorporate it quickly while maintaining brand voice.
  • Experience with Oktopost, UTM.io, Wrike, and analytics tools (Adobe, native) a plus.
Tools and Platforms
  • Oktopost (publishing, advocacy, Inbox, analytics)
  • UTM.io (campaign parameter governance and short links)
  • Wrike/Clarizen (intake, approvals, workflows)
  • Adobe Analytics/Sigma and native platform analytics (reporting)
  • Descript/Visme/Canva for lightweight video/creative; partner with Creative/Video for higher‑end needs
  • Glean/Copy.ai/Azure for AI capabilities
