Job summary

Astreya in Bengaluru seeks a Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a network of computers and systems. You will manage endpoints (MacOS), IAM (Okta/AD), VPN and network connectivity, and collaboration tools like Microsoft 365 and Zoom. You will also support security practices and create runbooks for complex escalations.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work under deadlines within a team of IT specialists.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage MacOS endpoints including enrollment, configuration, patching and policy enforcement.
• Administer Okta SSO/MFA and lifecycle management; support AD accounts and GPOs.
• Troubleshoot VPN via GlobalProtect; apply network fundamentals to fix issues.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 services and conferencing tools; maintain licensing.
• Implement endpoint security policies and assist in security incidents.
• Bridge Level 1 service desk with technology owners; document solutions and create runbooks.

What this Job Entails:

The Systems Engineer’s responsibilities include working with a team of IT specialists to design, set up and maintain a network of computers, including hardware, software, and system architecture.

Scope:

• Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
• Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of their specialty
• Works on problems of a diverse scope
• Receives little instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignments

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Endpoint & Device Management :-
  MacOS endpoint management — enrollment, configuration profiles, patch management, and policy enforcement via MDM (JAMF or equivalent)
  Troubleshoot and resolve advanced macOS issues; maintain endpoint compliance posture with the security team
• Identity & Access Management : -
  Administer and troubleshoot Okta — SSO, MFA policies, application assignments, and lifecycle management
  Handle escalated access issues; support and maintain Active Directory accounts, group policies, and Ous
• Network & Connectivity :
  Troubleshoot VPN connectivity via GlobalProtect and Zscaler ZPA/ZIA; apply networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewall rules) to resolve connectivity issues
  Collaborate with network and security teams on escalated cases requiring deeper infrastructure context
• Collaboration & Productivity Tools :-
  Serve as escalation point for Microsoft 365 — Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and licensing
  Manage and troubleshoot Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, and video conferencing hardware
• Security & Compliance :-
  Apply endpoint security principles — EDR tooling, patch compliance, and security policy enforcement
  Support security-related incidents; follow and help maintain IT security standards and audit requirements
• Escalation Handling & Collaboration :-
  Bridge Level 1 service desk and technology service owners; manage complex cross-platform tickets end-to-end
  Document solutions, create runbooks, and contribute to the knowledge base to reduce repeat escalations

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Experience with computing networks, platforms, and software architectures
• Knowledge and understanding of the definition and traceability of system requirements
• Experience in the implementation of system requirements verification methods
• Experience in the planning of system test activities
• Strong presentation and organizational skills
• Effective written and oral communication skillsMental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks
• Able to work under project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints
