Job summary

Hdfc Securities is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to uphold uptime for critical IT applications, manage incidents, and coordinate deployments across Linux and Windows environments.

You will configure, troubleshoot, and automate tasks, write shell and PowerShell scripts, handle EOD/BOD jobs, and work with API integrations and middleware like IIS/Tomcat. Strong problem-solving and stakeholder coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–8 years of production support experience in high-volume and critical environments.
• Hands-on experience in installation, configuration, monitoring and management of applications & databases in Linux & Windows.
• Experience in application server log analysis, troubleshooting, management and problem solving.
• Basic networking knowledge and ability to troubleshoot with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime and incident management for defined IT applications.
• Deploy applications on Linux/Windows with configuration, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Coordinate with vendors and teams for release management and deployments in Production, SIT and UAT.
• Monitor and analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Schedule and circulate MOM; maintain issue trackers and track ageing; engage stakeholders as needed.

Job description

Desired Skills:

• Understanding on technical and functional aspects of business.
• Responsible for application up time & incident management for defined IT applications.
• Have experience to deploy applications running under LINUX /Windows OS, including configuration, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Must know shell scripting, dos batch commands, power shell scripting.
• Knowledge of application integration using API -REST API, JSON, XML, SOAP
• Must pose knowledge on odbc, jdbc connections. Installation & Configuration of IIS, Tomcat as middle ware, chrome debugger tool.
• Experience in handling Call Centre Solution, dialer application, recording reconciliations. Executing EOD/BOD jobs
• Co-ordinating with different teams to Identifying the root causes of incidents in order to prevent future recurrence
• Understand & analyze existing systems to identify improvements & performance / maintenance issues
• Schedule regular meeting with stake holders and circulate MOM.
• Co-ordination with different stakeholders and maintaining Issue tracker and monitor Ageing.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Responsible for deployment & movement of application code / bug fixes / data patches and release management in Production, SIT and UAT environments in coordination with vendors
• Deployment of software applications and tools

Work Experience:

• Around 7/8 years experience in production support in a high-volume and critical environment.
• Hands on experience in installation, configuration, monitoring and management of Applications & Databases in Linux & Windows.
• Experience in application server log analysis, troubleshooting, management and problem solving.
• Basic Networking knowledge, should be able to troubleshoot issues with minimum guidance and support
