Job summary

Hdfc Securities in Mumbai is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure professional to support a high‑volume production environment. The role focuses on uptime, incident management and the deployment of applications across Linux and Windows platforms.

You will use shell and PowerShell scripting, basic networking, and AD/DNS administration, and collaborate with multiple teams to identify root causes and ensure smooth releases across Production, SIT and UAT.

Qualifications

• 10 years experience in IT infra support in high-volume, critical environments.
• Hands-on installation, configuration, monitoring and management of Applications & Databases in Linux & Windows.
• Experience in application server log analysis, troubleshooting, management and problem solving.
• Basic Networking knowledge and ability to troubleshoot issues with minimal guidance.
• Problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own uptime and incident management for defined IT applications.
• Deploy applications running under Linux/Windows, including configuration, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Deploy and move application code, bug fixes, data patches, and release management in Prod, SIT and UAT with vendors.
• Deploy software applications and tools.

Job description

Desired Skills:

• Understanding on technical and functional aspects of business.
• Responsible for application up time & incident management for defined IT applications.
• Have experience to deploy applications running under LINUX /Windows OS, including configuration, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Must know shell scripting, dos batch commands, power shell scripting.
• Working Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Windows & Linux Operating System. Have basic networks knowledge like telnet, netstat ipconfig/ifconfig, nslookup/dig for DNS resolution, traceroute/tracert, A record, CNAME FQDN etc.
• Co-ordinating with different teams to Identifying the root causes of incidents in order to prevent future recurrence
• Knowledge of REST API, XML API, SQL Server, Oracle will be added advantage.
• Responsible for deployment & movement of application code / bug fixes / data patches and release management in Production, SIT and UAT environments in coordination with vendors
• Deployment of software applications and tools

Work Experience:

• 10 years experience in supporting IT infra in a high-volume and critical environment.
• Hands on experience in the area of installation, configuration, monitoring and management of Applications & Databases in Linux & Windows.
