Job summary

Endurance Technologies invites a Suspension Design Engineer to lead end-to-end design and development of suspension systems and components such as springs, forks, dampers, and wheel assemblies. The role requires strong expertise in vehicle dynamics, CAD modeling (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX), and FEA for stress and durability, with collaboration across chassis and manufacturing teams.

You'll work with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, reliability, and cost, while driving VA/VE

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive/Vehicle Dynamics.
• 3–7 years of suspension design experience (preferably automotive or two-wheeler).
• Solid CAD skills in CATIA V5, SolidWorks, and/or Siemens NX.
• Experience with DFMEA and GD&T practices and suspension testing.

Responsibilities

• System design of suspension architectures balancing ride comfort, handling, and durability.
• Design and model suspension parts using CAD tools (springs, forks, dampers).
• Conduct road and bench tests to validate suspension performance.
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for stress, fatigue, and durability.
• Benchmark competitor suspension systems and build detailed databases.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop cost-effective, high-performance components.
• Implement VA/VE ideas to reduce material costs and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with chassis, vehicle dynamics, and manufacturing teams for seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design: Develop suspension architectures balancing ride comfort, handling, and durability.
• Component Development: Design and model suspension parts (springs, forks, shock absorbers, dampers) using CAD tools.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct road and bench tests to validate suspension performance under diverse conditions.
• Simulation & Analysis: Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for stress, fatigue, and durability.
• Benchmarking: Compare competitor suspension systems and generate detailed benchmarking databases.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with suppliers to develop cost-effective, high-performance components.
• Innovation: Implement VA/VE ideas to reduce material costs and improve efficiency.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with chassis, vehicle dynamics, and manufacturing teams for seamless integration.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech/B.E. or M.Tech/M.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Vehicle Dynamics.
• Experience: 37 years in suspension design, preferably in automotive or two-wheeler industries.

Technical Skills

• Vehicle Dynamics expertise (ride comfort, handling, stability).
• CAD proficiency (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX).
• FEA tools for stress and fatigue analysis.
• Knowledge of DFMEA & GD&T for robust design.
• Suspension evaluation techniques (road tests, test benches).
