Job description

Responsibilities

The Survey & Design Engineer is responsible for site assessment, technical feasibility analysis, and designing solar PV systems (rooftop and ground-mounted). The role ensures optimal system performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with standards while supporting project execution teams.

• Site Survey & Assessment
  • Conduct on-site surveys for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
  • Measure roof dimensions, tilt, orientation, and shading analysis
  • Evaluate structural strength and electrical infrastructure
  • Identify risks, constraints, and installation feasibility
• System Design & Engineering
  • Design solar PV systems using tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PVsyst, Helioscope)
  • Prepare layout drawings, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), and BOQs
  • Optimize system capacity, inverter selection, and module placement
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards
• Technical Documentation
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and reports
  • Create proposals and technical submissions for clients
  • Maintain design records and revision control
• Coordination & Execution Support
  • Work with sales, project, and installation teams
  • Provide technical guidance during installation
  • Resolve on-site design-related issues
• Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct quality checks during and after installation
  • Support inspection and commissioning activities

Qualifications

• B.Tech / BE / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy
• Strong knowledge about design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Technical Skills
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PVsyst, Helioscope (or equivalent tools)
  • Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, mounting structures
