Assystem in India is seeking a Design Lead - Solar (Electrical DC) to manage engineering activities for solar PV power plants. This role involves coordinating with various teams, delivering engineering drawings, and ensuring adherence to project deadlines.
The ideal candidate should have 7–10 years of experience in solar PV design, be familiar with technical specifications, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Position: Design Lead - Solar (Electrical DC)
Reports to: Section Head - Solar
Design Engineer/Draughts Person (secondary reportees)
B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 7–10 years of experience in design aspects of Solar PV Power Plants or Power Distribution Projects.
The Design Lead will review and execute engineering activities including generation estimate, plant layout, DC single line diagram, solar module selection, inverter sizing, SMB, earthing and cable sizing calculations for Solar PV Power Plants. The role will coordinate with BIM modellers and inter-disciplinary teams (civil/structural, instrumentation, MEP) and support engineering activities from pre-bid to commissioning and warranty phases.
Extensive knowledge of equipment layouts and necessary calculations for solar PV power plant design, including generation estimate, plant layout, DC single line diagram, module selection, inverter sizing, SMB, earthing and cable sizing. Familiarity with national and international codes and standards and ability to interpret technical contractual requirements. Understanding of inter-disciplinary design aspects (civil & structural, mechanical, instrumentation).
Internal stakeholders include Head of Engineering, Section Heads, Design Engineers, Draughts Persons, Operations Team, Site Execution Team, and Supply Chain Management. External stakeholders comprise clients, consultants, and vendors.
