Job description

We are looking for a Senior Solar Design Engineer with 7–8 years of experience in designing rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in solar system design, engineering calculations, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. The role involves preparing optimized solar designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting project execution from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems
• Prepare layouts, SLDs, BOMs, and technical drawings
• Perform system sizing, generation, and shading analysis
• Conduct site assessments and ensure design feasibility
• Support technical proposals, tender documents, and project documentation

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field
• 7–8 years of experience in Solar PV Design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp, and MS Excel
• Strong understanding of SLDs, BOM preparation, and system sizing
• Knowledge of Indian solar standards, DISCOM approvals, and design regulations

Nice to have

• Experience with STAAD Pro or structural design
• Experience in industrial, captive, or tender-based solar projects
• Familiarity with project execution and commissioning support
• Strong analytical skills
