Job summary

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) seeks a senior level compliance professional to lead surveillance and enforcement across the payments ecosystem. The role requires 10–18 years of experience in compliance, AML, and related audits, with strong analytical and communication abilities.

You will implement policies, monitor adherence to laws, and drive a culture of compliance across stakeholders. Mumbai-based full-time opportunity with extensive responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 10–18 years of total work experience.
  • Experience in Compliance / FRM / Payment Audit / AML (mandatory).
  • Good understanding of the payments ecosystem.
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, surveillance, and enforcement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance adherence within the organization.
  • Monitor processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish compliance standards across the payment ecosystem.
  • Ensure compliance programs are effective and efficient.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct regular compliance assessments to identify risks arising from non-compliance.
  • Recommend process improvements and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze deficiencies and irregularities from a compliance perspective and provide effective solutions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to improve compliance adherence.
  • Drive and promote a compliance culture across the payment ecosystem.
  • Provide updates and publish compliance reports covering status, key issues, and violations to senior management.
  • Provide inputs for revision of Policy / SOP / PG based on current business requirements.
  • Participate in reviews and share updates on non-compliance.
  • Investigate and act on compliance-related matters as per policy.
  • Ensure breaches and incidents are properly monitored, managed, documented, and reported.
  • Take enforcement action against non-compliant entities identified through surveillance or internal reporting.
