Role Overview
This person would be handling ecosystem non-compliance within NPCI's Business Compliance Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring compliance of NPCI member banks and other entities to circulars, guidelines and directives issued by NPCI
- Reviewing business proposals from the perspective of applicable RBI guidelines / laws and guiding the business / product teams
- Coordination, reviewing and evaluating business’s responses related to observations from RBI Inspection, before final submission
- Facilitating and handling product audits including internal audit, annual statutory and periodic quality audits, regulatory audit / inspection,
- Managing cross functional teams across departments for product governance and compliance
- Handling queries of member institutions with regard to guidelines issued by NPCI
- Liaison with RBI, financial institutions and banks wherever required
- Automation of processes for handling product governance and compliances for NPCI and its members.Good understanding of payments and cards related compliance.

Requirements
Key skills and experience required
- Experience in payments compliance (UPI, IMPS, Cards & other digital payment channels)
- Good understanding of payment transaction flow for UPI, IMPS, Cards and NACH
- Should be well versed with payment and system settlement act (PSS Act)
- Good understanding of AI and usage of AI tool
- Managingmultiple stakeholders such as business team, product team, regulator and ecosystem participants.
