Job summary

ORION SYSTEMS is seeking a seasoned IT Operations Engineer to support production environments hosting Audit applications. You will ensure availability, performance, and security, and drive operational excellence across Azure-based platforms.

You will lead incident resolution within SLAs, contribute to process documentation, perform data analysis with SQL, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining production environments in cloud/on-premises
• Strong knowledge of Azure services and monitoring
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis
• Experience with incident management per SLAs

Responsibilities

• Support the management and maintenance of production environments hosting Audit applications
• Contribute to creation/update of support and operational process documentation
• Perform day-to-day support and operations activities for Audit applications
• Resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs
• Act as a technical support lead for infrastructure and platform issues
• Ensure production environments comply with operational policies and governance
• Coordinate with platform/infrastructure teams for health checks and patching
• Apply hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure services
• Use Azure Application Insights and monitoring tools for root-cause analysis
• Leverage SQL skills to troubleshoot application issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
• Provide updates to senior team members and managers
• Support KPI tracking and reporting for leadership
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and learning forums

Role & responsibilities

• Support the management and maintenance of production environments hosting Audit applications, ensuring availability, stability, and performance
• Contribute to the creation, update, and adherence of support and operational process documentation, following established standards and procedures
• Perform day-to-day support and operations activities for Audit applications
• Resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs, escalating appropriately when required
• Act as a technical support lead at the team level for infrastructure and platform issues, assisting in diagnosis and resolution
• Ensure production environments comply with defined operational policies, security controls, and governance requirements
• Execute and validate post-deployment activities following scheduled releases to ensure system stability and operational readiness
• Coordinate with platform and infrastructure teams to support server health checks, patching activities, and vulnerability remediation
• Apply hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure services to support cloud-based production environments
• Use Azure Application Insights and monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and support root-cause analysis
• Leverage SQL skills to perform data analysis and troubleshooting for application and operational issues
• Collaborate effectively with Application Support, Business Support, Engineering, Deployment, and Global Platform Operations teams to achieve operational goals
• Provide timely updates on issues, risks, and resolutions to senior team members and managers
• Support KPI tracking and reporting aligned with objectives defined by the Support and Operations leadership
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, internal workshops, and learning forums to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in Support and Operations
