Job summary

Aditya Birla Group in Gujarat seeks a plant operator to manage Water Treatment Plant including DM/RO/TWRU systems, monitor quality parameters, and respond to abnormalities or emergencies with composure.

You will perform toolbox talks, maintain logs, ensure safety and housekeeping per 5S, and coordinate with multiple departments; PLC/DCS handling is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of water treatment parameters and systems.
• Experience operating DM/RO/TWRU plants.
• Ability to respond to plant abnormalities and emergencies.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct toolbox talks on safety and quality; allocate work per process plant.
• Note running plant parameters on log sheets from field.
• Perform water quality checks in shifts; know settlers/thickeners operation.
• Understand RO/TWRU, soft water, DM water, and drinking water quality parameters.
• Troubleshoot thickener/settler/RO/TWRU, MB/SAC/SBA equipment issues.
• Ensure proper isolation, safety, and housekeeping per 5S; monitor SOP adherence.
• Identify hazards; report near-misses and safety issues; communicate with teams.

Job description

• Able to operate the Water treatment Plant / DM/RO/TWRU plant.
• Ability to respond to plant abnormalities / emergencies / stressful situations.
• Should have familiar with PTW and LOTO System.
• Able to work in shifts and should have knowledge on water treatment quality parameters.
• Knowledge in chemical engineering and water treatment systems.
• Key Responsibilities / Tasks / Activities
• Conduct tool box talk / safety / quality pep talk and allocate perform work allocation as per process plant
• Note down the Running Plant Parameters on Log sheet from field.
• Treated water quality check in shifts, must have knowledge on settlers / thickeners operation
• Knowledge on RO/TWRU and Soft water / DM water / Drinking water quality parameters
• Should have knowledge on thickener/settler/RO/UF or MB / SAC / SBA safe operations
• Able to troubleshoot the thickener/settler/RO/TWRU or MB / SAC / SBA and softener operational issues
• Ensure Proper Isolation and normalization of the equipment on field as per PTW Procedure.
• Ensure Proper safety of workmen who are working in his respective area
• Ensure Proper Housekeeping of plant following with 5S Standards.
• Monitor work in terms of quality of work execution and adherence to SOP / SWI and safety norms while they are performing the activities.
• Identify hazards, near-miss observations and instruct workmen on safety procedures and standards to be followed; ensure safety reporting at the end of the day
• Having PLC/DCS handling experience will be an added advantage to occupy this position.
• Able to maintain proper Communication with all internal department team members.
