The Plant Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations of Livprotec’s water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant functioning. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and hands-on experience in plant operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and workforce supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and monitor the daily operations of the treatment plant (WTP/WWTP/ETP/STP).
- Ensure all process parameters (flow, pressure, dosing, quality) are maintained within defined limits.
- Review daily logs, SCADA data, and operational reports.
- Coordinate start-up, shutdown, and emergency plant procedures.
- Lead a team of operators, technicians, and helpers.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and training.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
3. Maintenance Coordination
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps, blowers, motors, valves, dosing systems, and instrumentation.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
- Maintain records of equipment servicing and breakdowns.
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure treated water quality meets statutory and client requirements.
- Coordinate sampling, testing, and record-keeping as per regulatory norms.
- Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and client reporting.
5. Inventory & Resource Management
- Manage inventory of chemicals, consumables, and spare parts.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Monitor chemical consumption and optimize dosing.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operation reports.
- Document incidents, breakdowns, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Communicate operational updates to management and clients.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct routine toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety norms.
- Lead and support emergency response actions when required.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION:
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes (RO, UF, MBBR, SBR, ASP, DAF, Clarifiers, Filtration, etc.).
- Experience with pumps, blowers, motors, piping, dosing systems, and instrumentation.
- Exposure to SCADA or automated control systems.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in plant operations or supervision (WTP/WWTP/ETP/STP).
- Experience in managing junior staff and coordinating maintenance activities.
