Job summary

Varun Beverages Ltd. seeks a proactive Production Supervisor for its manufacturing plant. The role oversees crown‑capping operations, ensures equipment reliability, and upholds stringent quality and a 5S‑driven safety culture.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, monitor production metrics, and lead a team to maximize efficiency while minimizing waste and downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating crown-capping machinery in beverage/FMCG.
• Knowledge of OEM maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance planning.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs.
• Familiarity with 5S, OSHA/HSE safety standards and waste reduction practices.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate production records and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start up, and safely operate the crown-capping machine and auxiliary equipment to achieve production targets.
• Execute routine, preventative, and autonomous maintenance per OEM manuals and schedule.
• Perform in-line quality inspections on crowned bottles to ensure seal integrity and compliance.
• Monitor and reduce material rejection rates, including crown waste and damaged caps.
• Record shift output, downtime, and rejection data accurately in production logbooks.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical and alignment issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean work area and enforce 5S and safety protocols at the operating station.
