Job summary

Smile Management Solutions invites applications for a Production Incharge to lead the CSD beverage line at the Mandideep plant. You will supervise production planning, line operations, and ensure safe, hygienic, and compliant manufacturing according to GMP and quality standards.

The role requires 5–8 years in CSD/Beverage production, a technical degree (B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma), and strong leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in CSD/Beverage Production.
• B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Food Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily/shift-wise production plans.
• Utilize manpower, machines, materials, and utilities efficiently.
• Monitor line performance, output, and efficiency.
• Minimize production losses, downtime, wastage, and changeover time.
• Oversee water treatment, syrup prep, blending, carbonation, filling and packing.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure GMP, HACCP, hygiene and quality standards.
• Train operators and contract manpower.
• Track OEE, yield, downtime; drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain production records and traceability.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, EHS, HR.

Job Description Production Incharge (CSD Beverage Line)

Position: Production Incharge

Location: Manufacturing Plant
Experience: 5–8 years in CSD/Beverage Production
Qualification:B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Food Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline.

Job Purpose

To manage and supervise the complete CSD beverage production operation, ensuring safe, efficient, hygienic, and uninterrupted production as per production plans, quality standards, GMP, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution
  • Execute daily/shift-wise production plans as per demand and production targets.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and utilities.
  • Monitor line performance, production output, and line efficiency.
  • Minimize production losses, downtime, wastage, and changeover time.
• CSD Line Operations
  • Manage operations of water treatment, syrup preparation, blending, carbonation, filling, sealing, labeling, coding, packing, and dispatch coordination.
  • Ensure correct product formulation, carbonation level, filling volume, and packaging parameters.
  • Monitor machine parameters and ensure proper operation of the complete production line.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Quality & Food Safety
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and company quality standards.
  • Ensure production is carried out strictly as per approved SOPs and BMR/BPR.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for product quality checks and deviations.
  • Ensure proper CIP, sanitation, line clearance, and hygiene practices.
  • Take immediate corrective action in case of quality deviations.
• Manpower Management
  • Manage operators, helpers, technicians, and contract manpower.
  • Allocate manpower shift-wise according to production requirements.
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance.
  • Train employees on SOPs, GMP, safety, hygiene, and machine operation.
• Production Performance
  • Monitor OEE, line efficiency, yield, rejection, wastage, downtime, and productivity.
  • Identify root causes of production losses and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Prepare daily production and downtime reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Safety
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
  • Ensure safe operation of machinery, chemicals, CO systems, and utilities.
  • Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
• Documentation
  • Maintain production records, batch records, checklists, logbooks, and shift reports.
  • Ensure accurate recording of production quantities, RM/PM consumption, wastage, and downtime.
  • Maintain traceability and documentation as required for audits.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with QA, QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, EHS, and HR for smooth production.
  • Ensure timely availability of RM, PM, manpower, and utilities.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
