Job summary

Varun Beverages Ltd. Jaipur plant seeks a Supervisor – Production to oversee the crown-capping line, ensure smooth machine operation and compliance with quality and safety standards. You will coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to meet daily output targets.

The role requires a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, hands-on FMCG packaging experience, and strong data logging skills. Shift work and overtime may be required to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating crown-capping or similar packaging machinery in FMCG.
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of OEM maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Proficiency in data logging and basic computer applications (MS Excel).
• Good understanding of 5S, HACCP, and occupational safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and team-leadership abilities.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime as required.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Execute routine, preventative, and autonomous maintenance per OEM manuals.
• Perform in‑line quality inspections of crowned bottles to ensure seal integrity.
• Monitor and minimize material rejection rates (crown waste, damaged caps).
• Record shift output, downtime, and rejection data accurately in logbooks.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and alignment faults during runs.
• Maintain 5S standards and enforce safety protocols at the operating station.
• Lead a team of operators, providing guidance and on‑the‑job training.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve major equipment failures.
• Prepare and submit daily production reports to the Production Manager.
