The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing day-to-day production operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and within the planned timelines. The role will involve supervising shift teams, maintaining quality standards, coordinating with maintenance and support functions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage daily production activities and ensure smooth workflow across the production line.
Allocate tasks to machine operators and production staff based on operational requirements.
Monitor production output and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly targets are achieved.
Manage shift schedules and manpower deployment to optimize productivity.
Identify and resolve operational issues affecting production efficiency.
Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Identify defects, rework, and process deviations and take appropriate corrective actions.
Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
Work closely with the Quality team to maintain defined quality standards and reduce scrap and rework.
Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Monitor equipment performance and report machine breakdowns promptly.
Support planned maintenance activities and minimize production downtime.
Track equipment efficiency and identify opportunities for improving machine utilization.
Supervise and guide production operators and shop-floor employees.
Monitor individual and shift-level performance.
Conduct regular team briefings and communicate production priorities.
Support the onboarding and training of new operators.
Address employee concerns and resolve shop-floor conflicts effectively.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and process reliability.
Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma practices where applicable.
Drive initiatives to reduce waste, scrap, rework, and production downtime.
Support improvements in workplace ergonomics and overall shop-floor efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable statutory requirements.
Conduct regular shop-floor safety inspections.
Ensure employees follow safe operating procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Promote a strong safety culture and immediately address unsafe practices or conditions.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial environment.
Prior experience in a production supervisory or team leadership role is preferred
