Job summary

Kannanware in Tamil Nadu is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, supervise operators, ensure safety and quality, and meet output targets on the production floor.

The role requires a Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering and 3–5 years of production experience. You will lead toolbox meetings, drive 5S/Kaizen initiatives, and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a production setup.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate shop floor activities during the shift.
• Conduct the morning toolbox meeting with technicians and explain tasks and safety methods.
• Ensure shift targets are met in quality, quantity, and safe practices.
• Monitor production and clarify any doubts.
• Handover status to the next shift properly.
• Train and coach operators for improved performance and safety.
• Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance for timely repair.
• Maintain discipline and resolve minor grievances within the shift.
• Support 5S, Kaizen and lean initiatives.
• Participate in daily review meetings and address issues proactively.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations on the production floor

• managing operators – discipline, timeliness
• ensure all defined safety practices are followed
• maintain the product quality
• meet the targeted production output
• prepare weekly and monthly reports
• Communicate and involve in continuous improvement.
• Must possess basic knowledge and understanding of production and quality processes.
• Understanding of Drawings and technical documents, SOP’s.
• Key Responsibilities

Qualification and Experience

Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
