Job description

This role sits within the Supply Chain Management team and is responsible for providing procurement expertise for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 11kV to 400kV substations and offshore wind tenders and projects. It focuses on tender and project activities, meeting budgetary objectives, delivering successful sourcing solutions, implementing them to stakeholders' satisfaction, continuous improvement, standard implementation, and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Execute all SCM and procurement activities in accordance with company procedures.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers/subcontractors per SCM sourcing strategies.
• Assist the Tendering Department and project execution teams.
• Issue RFQs using the eSourcing platform.
• Obtain and negotiate final prices, deliveries, and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Prepare price comparison tables and overall cost overview.
• Negotiate special conditions of purchase orders and obtain approvals per LOA protocols.
• Coordinate with FSSC the Purchase-to-Pay process in Oracle ERP.
• Review order acknowledgements for compliance with purchase order terms.
• Prepare and negotiate claims and issue progress reports.
• Identify potential new suppliers per Linxon processes.
• Assist in KPI data collation and verify costs, quality, and service levels.
• Regularly review open purchase orders and close them when due.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety, business ethics, contracts, and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or minimum CIPS qualification (or equivalent), or 10+ years’ experience in lieu of qualification.
• Minimum CIPS qualification (or equivalent) and 7+ years’ experience in lieu of qualification.
• Knowledge of 11kV to 400kV transmission or distribution procurement/tendering activities.
• Knowledge of various industry standards and client working practices.
• Good working knowledge of international procurement frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle ERP system.
• Experience implementing new processes/tools/software and mentoring team members.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across culture.
• Occasional travel may be required.
