Job description

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and release Purchase Orders (POs) within budget, quality, and timing targets.
• Settle claims with favorable terms for the company.
• Lead buying and fulfilment for assigned commodities, coordinating with Strategic Sourcing Leaders (SSL) and regionally with Delegated Commodities.
• Apply sourcing policy and interface between suppliers and entities regarding specifications and budgets.
• Collect project‑related information from PPLM/Project Manager for RFQs and POs.
• Issue RFQs, negotiate terms and conditions, and finalize agreements with suppliers.
• Release POs and monitor receipt of acknowledgement and delivery status.
• Lead cost‑reduction, lead‑time, and quality improvement initiatives regionally.
• Manage supplier relationships, handle claims, delays, and negotiate critical operational issues.
• Ensure on‑time delivery of materials and update stakeholders on supplier performance.
• Perform total cost analysis and participate in technical‑commercial discussions with suppliers.
• Apply Procurement Concept, ensure compliance with the validated regional Supplier Panel, and initiate the Purchase Order Request (POR).
• Support definition of the Commodity Strategy, Target Panel, and Action Plan in collaboration with SSL.
• Commercially qualify suppliers of the Regional Target Panel and maintain accurate scorecards and data.
• Define contractual plans (terms, price lists) and enforce them for Regional Target Suppliers.
• Support delivery against tender price and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
• Maintain awareness of CFSI requirements, nuclear safety culture, and key business drivers.
• Resolve supplier issues using judgment within established procedures and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, project management, sales, or related manufacturing processes.
• Experience with commodities such as turbines, generators, mechanical equipment (skids), electrical equipment (motors, cables), control & instrumentation, valves, and balance of plant.
• Preferred background in heavy engineering or turbine manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in English language.
• Knowledge and use of SAP MM and procurement systems.
• Exposure to strategic sourcing and financial topics.
• Strong networking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Comprehensive understanding of purchasing and fulfilment standards, policies, procedures, and sourcing management principles.
