Job summary

HARTEK GROUP is seeking an experienced procurement leader to run end-to-end procurement for EHV/HV substations, transmission lines, and utility-scale solar EPC projects. You will own sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier onboarding to ensure on-time material availability and project execution.

The role requires 15–20+ years in EPC procurement, strong exposure to substations up to 765 kV, and a proven track record handling large, complex EPC programs.

Job description

Lead end-to-end procurement for EHV/HV substations, transmission lines, and utility-scale solar EPC projects.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and working capital.
• Own sourcing, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, contracting, and supplier onboarding.
• Build strategic partnerships with OEMs and key suppliers to ensure capacity availability and competitive pricing.
• Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives across all major procurement categories.
• Ensure on-time material availability in line with project schedules and eliminate procurement-driven delays.
• Lead vendor development, performance evaluation, risk assessment, and supplier diversification.
• Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Planning, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Strengthen contract management, claims, change orders, and compliance with procurement policies.
• Improve procurement systems, MIS, digitalization, and data-driven decision-making.
• Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team with a strong ownership mindset.
• Drive inventory optimization, payment terms, logistics coordination, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Qualification & Other Requirements:

• Experience 15–20+ years of experience in EPC procurement.
• Strong exposure to Substations (up to 765 kV), Transmission, and Utility-Scale Solar projects is mandatory.
• Demonstrated success in handling procurement for large, complex EPC projects.

Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills with major OEMs and suppliers.

• Strong leadership capability with the ability to build processes and high-performance tea
• Deep understanding of contracts, project execution, supply chain, and risk management.
• Willingness to travel and engage closely with project sites and suppliers.
