Job summary

The Sage Group in Bhopal / Mandideep is seeking a Store Manager to lead end-to-end store and warehouse operations for manufacturing materials. You will oversee receipt, storage, issue, and inventory controls, ensuring accurate records and timely material availability for production and maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in stores/warehouse roles, strong ERP/SAP proficiency, and hands-on leadership to coordinate with purchasing, production, quality, and finance teams while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of store/warehouse management experience in manufacturing or related industries.
• Strong inventory control, ERP familiarity and stock reconciliation.
• Team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end store and warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, preservation and issuance of materials.
• Ensure proper inward and outward movement of raw materials, consumables, spares, finished goods and other inventory.
• Maintain accurate stock records, inventory registers and ERP/HRMS entries.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of critical materials for production and maintenance.
• Implement proper FIFO/FEFO, bin management, material identification and storage practices.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Maintenance, Finance and Quality teams for material requirements and inventory planning.
• Ensure proper documentation for GRN, material issue slips, transfer notes, return notes and other store-related records.
• Control obsolete, excess, damaged and slow-moving inventory and maintain appropriate records.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials in compliance with safety, EHS and company procedures.
• Supervise store personnel, allocate work and monitor team performance.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards within the store and warehouse.
• Develop and implement SOPs for inventory control, material handling, storage and dispatch.
• Prepare and share regular reports on stock status, consumption, shortages, excess inventory and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with vendors and transporters for material receipt and dispatch activities, wherever required.
• Support internal/external audits and ensure timely closure of store-related observations.
• Identify opportunities for inventory optimization, cost reduction and process improvement.
