Job summary

ROYCE Chocolate in Mumbai is seeking a Store Supervisor who will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, team coordination, and day-to-day store operations.

Qualifications

About the Role

ROYCE is a premium Japanese chocolate brand known for exceptional products, thoughtful gifting and a high standard of customer experience.

We are looking for experienced retail professionals who enjoy engaging with customers, take pride in running a well-managed store and are ready to take greater ownership of store operations.

As a Store Supervisor, you will play an important role in delivering the ROYCE experience while supporting the Store Manager in sales, customer service, team coordination and day-to-day store operations.

What You Will Do

Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience

• Welcome and engage customers with warmth, confidence and professionalism.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products, including gifting solutions.
• Build strong product knowledge and communicate the ROYCE story and product range effectively.
• Handle customer concerns thoughtfully and resolve issues wherever possible.

Drive Sales & Store Performance

• Contribute actively towards store sales and performance targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer conversion, basket size and repeat business.
• Support merchandising and product presentation to ensure the store consistently reflects ROYCE standards.
• Assist with performance reporting and provide useful observations and feedback to the Store Manager.

Run Strong Store Operations

• Manage day-to-day retail operations including billing, cash handling, inventory and stock movement.
• Maintain strict control over product shelf life, stock rotation and store standards.
• Execute store opening and closing procedures accurately.
• Support e-commerce and omni-channel order fulfilment, ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and product presentation.

Take Ownership

• Support and guide Store Associates during daily operations.
• Take responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Identify operational or customer-service issues early and take appropriate action.
• Work closely with the Store Manager and wider team to ensure smooth store functioning.

Who We Are Looking For

Retail experience is mandatory for this role.

You should have:

• 15 years of experience in retail sales and store operations.
• Strong customer-service and selling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence interacting with a wide range of customers.
• Experience or familiarity with billing, cash handling, inventory and basic store operations.
• A disciplined and organised approach to work.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow operating standards consistently.
• The maturity to take ownership and handle store responsibilities when required.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and sometimes unstructured retail environment.

Experience in premium retail, luxury retail, beauty, fashion, gourmet food or other customer-focused retail environments will be an advantage.

Location & Mobility

ROYCE operates multiple stores within each city. Team members are therefore hired for the city rather than for one specific store and should be comfortable working across ROYCE locations within their assigned city based on business and staffing requirements.

Store allocation will take practical considerations such as commuting distance into account wherever possible.
