Job description

We are seeking an experienced Store Engineer / Officer to manage site stores, inventory, and material logistics for our solar EPC projects across India. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in store management within the construction or power sector, with a strong understanding of material receipt, storage, issuance, and record‑keeping for large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day store operations at solar project sites, ensuring proper receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (physical and system-based) for solar modules, inverters, cables, structures, civil materials, and other project‑related items.
  • Coordinate with procurement, project management, and site execution teams for timely material planning and availability.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation with system records; identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper material handling, stacking, and storage practices at site yards and warehouses to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
  • Prepare and maintain store documents such as GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), MRN (Material Receipt Notes), DCs (Delivery Challans), issue slips, and stock registers.
  • Monitor and track material consumption against BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and raise alerts for excess consumption or shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements related to store and inventory management.
  • Manage scrap, surplus, and returnable materials; coordinate with vendors for replacement of defective or short‑supplied items.
  • Support audits (internal, client, and statutory) by providing accurate documentation and store records.
  • Use ERP / MIS tools for data entry, reporting, and generating periodic stock statements and consumption reports.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in store management, inventory control, or material management, preferably in solar EPC, power, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
  • Experience handling solar‑specific materials (modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, transformers, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of store management procedures, inventory control techniques, and material handling practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP / inventory management software.
  • Good understanding of BOQ, material reconciliation, and project cost control concepts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills to interact with project teams, vendors, and logistics partners.
  • Willingness to travel and be stationed at project sites across India for extended durations.
