Job summary

Adani Group in India is seeking a Store In-Charge to oversee all aspects of inventory management for Stores Project, ensuring accurate records and efficient operations at site.

You will implement SOPs, manage GRN, track ageing and surplus inventory, and coordinate with HO for scrap disposal while maintaining compliance with audit and ESG norms.

Qualifications

  • More than 10 years of experience in renewable energy ( Wind & Solar) materials management.
  • Excellent communication skills & initiative - Should have good exposure in energy utility PROJECT stores operations - Should have good inventory management professional and ability to manage Project Stores.

Responsibilities

  • Technical – Storage Infrastructure: Proper utilization of storage infrastructure, manpower and adequate T&T for safe and speedy handling of materials at site.
  • Process compliance as per SOP for all stores management activities at Project level.
  • Monitoring and timely closure of RGP (Returnable Gate Pass).
  • Ensuring material consumption posting on daily basis.
  • Preparing Goods Receipt Note (GRN) and achieving GRN SLA targets - Monitoring slow, non-moving, and high-ageing inventory, and generating surplus inventory reports.
  • Applying inventory control techniques and ensuring inventory optimization at site.
  • Strategic – Utilization of surplus inventory through coordination b/w sites and Ho.
  • Proactive mitigation of inventory risks by monitoring and managing surplus and ageing items - Continuous improvement focusses by integrating digital tools into inventory management.
  • Smooth HOTO of mandatory spares from project to PROJECT.

  • Financial/P&L – - Ensure inventory in between Min-Max level to avoid shortfall and over inventory at Project.
  • Inventory review and plan for consumption of excess inventory, Review of Non-moving and slow-moving inventory at Project level.
  • Timely scrap disposal to get the best salvage value and utilization too in other business if required.
  • Quality/Safety – - Ensure preliminary quantity checks and quality inspections are conducted before accepting materials.
  • Oversee acceptance/rejection protocols and ensure proper documentation like GRN (Goods Receipt Note) is maintained - Daily Toolbox talk - ZIP of Pre-Unloading & Safety Checks - Driver Compliance: Drivers must have valid licenses, undergo safety induction, and follow defensive driving protocols.
  • Unloading Protocols – Slings and rigging safety.
  • Statutory/Regulatory Compliance – - BRSR audit & compliances - key ESG norms and ensuring adherence to the Hazardous Waste Disposal Compliance.
  • Handling of explosive items B class HSD and bulk storage of oils etc

Job description

Purpose/Objective
  • Store in-charge at Stores is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management at Stores Project.
  • Key responsibilities include formulation of standard operating procedure and compliances.
  • Managing daily store operations, maintaining accurate inventory records at sites.
  • Maintaining inventory control techniques (VED/FAS/Min-Max and ABC analysis), Ensuring compliance with audit and inventory procedures, and coordinating with HO for timely scrap disposal.
  • The position involves oversee daily store operations, GRN, Issue and preservation of inventory, regular inventory monitoring and surplus utilization and implementing best inventory management practices at sites with minimal resources.
  • Also, inventory reduction and optimization of inventory carrying cost and minimize the material handling and effectively utilization of material handling resources.
