Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the project store.
  • Receive materials from vendors and verify against POs and invoices.
  • Ensure proper storage, stacking and preservation of materials.
  • Issue materials to site teams per MRS.
  • Maintain records of inward and outward material movements.
  • Update stock registers and ERP systems regularly.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.
  • Maintain GRNs, gate entries, issue slips, and stock registers.
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping in the store area.
  • Coordinate with project, procurement, and accounts teams on material matters.
  • Track returnable and non-returnable materials.
  • Support audits related to store activities.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Store Executive to manage site stores and inventory for solar projects. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining records of project materials while ensuring proper inventory control and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the project store.
  • Receive materials from vendors and verify quantities and specifications against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and invoices.
  • Ensure proper storage, stacking, and preservation of materials to prevent damage or loss.
  • Issue materials to site teams as per approved Material Requisition Slips (MRS).
  • Maintain accurate records of inward and outward material movements.
  • Update stock registers, inventory records, and ERP/software systems on a regular basis.
  • Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment of materials.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), gate entries, issue slips, and stock registers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping practices within the store area.
  • Coordinate with project, procurement, and accounts teams regarding material-related matters.
  • Track and maintain records of returnable and non-returnable materials.
  • Support internal and external audits related to store activities.

Materials Handling Experience Preferred:

Candidates with experience handling materials used in ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects, such as:

  • Solar PV Modules
  • Inverters
  • Module Mounting Structures (MMS)
  • Cables (DC & AC)
  • Earthing Materials
  • Junction Boxes
  • SCB/LT Panels
  • Transformers
  • Hardware and Fasteners
  • Electrical Consumables and Safety Materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Additional certification in inventory or store management will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 25 years of experience in store and inventory management.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Solar EPC projects, renewable energy projects, infrastructure, or construction site stores.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of inventory control and store management practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/other inventory software).
  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently at project sites.
