Job summary

Processautometa Llp in Karnataka seeks an experienced Store Manager to oversee day-to-day stores and inventory in a sheet metal manufacturing setting. You will handle material receipt, storage, issuance, stock accuracy, and coordination with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Accounts teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in Stores/Inventory/Warehouse, ERP and Excel proficiency, and strong organizational skills to maintain stock records, perform 5S, and generate reports.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in Stores / Inventory / Warehouse operations.
  • Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, engineering, automobile components, or metal manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Good knowledge of steel sheets, plates, pipes, sections, fasteners, welding consumables, and engineering materials.
  • Good understanding of GRN, material issue, stock transfer, material return, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Experience in handling ERP / Inventory Management Software.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and preparation of inventory reports.
  • Strong knowledge of physical stock verification and inventory control.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage store manpower and day-to-day activities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of 5S and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the stores and warehouse.
  • Receive incoming raw materials, components, consumables, tools, and finished goods.
  • Verify materials against Purchase Orders, delivery challans, invoices, and inspection documents.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, stacking, and storage of materials.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory documentation.
  • Issue raw materials and components to Production as per approved Material Requisition / Production requirements.
  • Maintain inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials for production.
  • Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counting.
  • Investigate and resolve stock shortages, excesses, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Accounts departments.
  • Maintain records for GRN, material issue, material return, stock transfer, and dispatch.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of sheet metal, steel plates, coils, fabricated components, fasteners, welding consumables, and other materials.
  • Monitor scrap and rejected material and maintain proper records.
  • Ensure FIFO / appropriate stock rotation wherever applicable.
  • Control material damage, loss, and wastage within the store.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory and stock reports.
  • Support monthly and annual stock audits.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 5S in the stores area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and ensure safe material handling.
  • Supervise store staff, helpers, and material handlers and allocate daily work.
  • Ensure timely dispatch and movement of finished goods and materials.
