Job summary

LAXCON in Ahmedabad is seeking an experienced Stores/Inventory Manager to lead stores, warehouses, inventory control, and material management for a steel plant.

You will ensure proper receipt, inspection, storage, identification, and issue of materials, maintain FIFO, cycle counts, and ERP/SAP MIS reporting, while driving 5S and safety standards across the stores team. Leadership and coordination with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Finance, Quality, and Logistics are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouses in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, ERP/SAP, material management, and warehouse operations.
• Good leadership, analytical, and coordination skills.

• Ensure proper ERP/SAP-based inventory management and MIS reporting.
• Implement 5S, safety, SOPs, and internal control systems in stores.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate / Diploma; B.E./B.Tech preferred.
• 07-15 years experience in stores/warehouses, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, ERP/SAP, material management, and warehouse operations.
• Good leadership, analytical, and coordination skills.
