Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor day-to-day darkstore operations across South India.
• Own store performance, KPIs, productivity, and service levels.
• Regularly visit darkstores to understand ground-level challenges.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and gaps.
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and business insights for internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate with store teams and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Track KPIs like productivity, order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and manpower utilization.
• Ensure SOPs are followed across stores.
• Take ownership of assigned stores and projects.
• Communicate performance updates to clients and internal teams.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Assistant Manager Darkstore Operations to manage and oversee darkstore operations across South India.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in darkstore/quick-commerce operations, strong data analytics and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the flexibility to visit stores whenever required.

This is a client-facing role, so the candidate must be confident in presenting operational performance, discussing business challenges, and taking ownership of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor day-to-day darkstore operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Take ownership of store performance, operational KPIs, productivity, and service levels.
• Regularly visit darkstores to understand ground-level challenges and ensure operational standards are maintained.
• Analyze operational data and identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present MIS reports, performance dashboards, and business insights to internal teams and clients.
• Work closely with store teams and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
• Identify the root cause of operational problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Track key metrics such as productivity, order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, manpower utilization, turnaround time, and other relevant KPIs.
• Ensure processes and SOPs are followed consistently across stores.
• Take complete responsibility for assigned stores, projects, and operational deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with clients and provide regular updates on performance, challenges, and action plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Mandatory Requirements

• Prior experience in Darkstore / Quick Commerce / E-commerce Operations is mandatory.
• Strong data analytics and interpretation skills are mandatory.
• Ability to work with operational data, identify trends, and convert data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, as this is a client-facing position.
• Candidate should be willing and flexible to visit stores whenever required, including short-notice operational visits.
• Strong ownership, responsibility, and accountability toward assigned targets and deliverables.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic operational environment.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Language Requirement South India

Since this role will involve managing operations across South India.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Retail Operations, Warehouse Operations, or Darkstore Operations.
• Strong knowledge of operational KPIs and performance management.
• Good command of MS Excel / Google Sheets; knowledge of dashboards and data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations.
• Strong stakeholder and client-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of business outcomes.
