Job summary

Allianz Distillery is seeking a Store Manager to oversee the complete store, warehouse, and material management operations for an Ethanol Distillery Plant in India. You will handle material receipt, inspection coordination, storage, inventory control, and documentation across departments.

Key responsibilities include supervising store personnel, maintaining accurate ERP-based records, ensuring proper stock levels, and coordinating with Purchase, QA/QC, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production

Qualifications

  • Experience in store/warehouse management for industrial plants.
  • Knowledge of ERP/SAP and inventory reporting.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to supervise store staff.
  • Ability to manage FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
  • Experience with GRN/MRN, stock reconciliation.

  • Manage day-to-day plant store, warehouse, and material yards.
  • Receive materials; verify quantity, PO, challan, and documents.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, Purchase, Engineering, Maintenance for inspection.
  • Maintain GRN/MRN records and stock registers.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of spares, chemicals, tools, and items.
  • Prepare inventory and consumption reports for management.
  • Supervise store staff and enforce FIFO/FEFO.

Job Summary


We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to manage the complete store and material management operations of an Ethanol Distillery Plant. The position will be responsible for material receipt, inspection coordination, storage, inventory control, material issuance, stock reconciliation, documentation, and coordination with Purchase, Accounts, Maintenance, Production, Projects, and other departments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the plant store, warehouse, and material yards.
  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, specifications, purchase order, challan, and other supporting documents.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, Purchase, Engineering, Maintenance, and User Departments for material inspection and acceptance.
  • Maintain proper records of GRN/MRN, material inward, material outward, issue slips, return notes, and stock registers.
  • Ensure proper storage and identification of spares, consumables, electrical items, mechanical items, instrumentation items, chemicals, tools, safety items, and general stores materials.
  • Maintain accurate physical and ERP-based inventory records.
  • Issue materials only against duly approved Material Requisition / Indent.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and coordinate with Purchase for timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and stock reconciliation.
  • Identify and report shortages, excess stock, damaged materials, obsolete items, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Maintain proper bin locations, item codes, labeling, and material classification.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for materials that require special handling or environmental controls.
  • Maintain records of critical and insurance spares required for uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Production teams for timely availability of critical spares and consumables.
  • Maintain proper records of lubricants, mechanical/electrical spares, instruments, valves, pumps, motors, bearings, cables, pipes, fittings, and other plant materials.
  • Monitor material consumption and compare it with approved requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation for material returns, transfers, replacements, and rejected materials.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports for management.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, fire prevention, and security within the store and material storage areas.
  • Supervise Store Executives, Storekeepers, Helpers, and other store personnel.
  • Establish and maintain effective FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
  • Coordinate with Accounts for invoice verification, GRN-related documentation, and material reconciliation.
  • Support internal, statutory, and external audits by providing accurate stock records and supporting documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, inventory controls, and plant safety requirements.
  • Maintain proper records for capital items, project materials, consumables, spares, and scrap materials.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Stores, Warehouse & Inventory Management.
  • Experience in industrial plant / manufacturing / distillery stores preferred.
  • Good knowledge of ERP/SAP/Inventory Management Software.
  • Strong command of MS Excel and inventory reporting.
  • Knowledge of GRN/MRN, material requisition, stock reconciliation, and material issue processes.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a store team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and material preservation.
  • Ability to work in a plant environment and handle urgent material requirements.

Preferred Industry Experience

Ethanol / Distillery / Sugar / Chemical / Manufacturing / Power Plant / Heavy Engineering / Industrial Projects experience will be strongly preferred.
