Job summary

HOF Furniture Systems is seeking an experienced Store Manager for our Changodar manufacturing unit to oversee complete store operations and ensure seamless material supply for production.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing stores, with strong skills in raw material inventory, BOM coordination, and SAP B1. You will coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, and PPC teams to maintain stock accuracy and timely material flow.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience managing stores within a manufacturing environment, preferably furniture manufacturing.
  • Experience in raw material stores, inventory control, material inward/outward, material distribution, production coordination, BOM coordination and SAP B1.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing store and ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
  • Plan and control material inward, storage, identification, issue and distribution.
  • Ensure proper storage, stacking, tagging, bin management and material traceability.
  • Manage raw material stock including plywood, wood, steel, hardware, fittings, fasteners, consumables and other production materials.
  • Monitor stock levels, minimum/maximum levels and reorder requirements.
  • Ensure accurate physical stock and system stock reconciliation; conduct regular stock verification and cycle counts.
  • Control excess, shortage, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Supervise material receiving against PO, invoice, challan and relevant documents.
  • Ensure proper quantity and material verification before inward entry and control material issues to production against approved requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Purchase and PPC teams for daily material requirements.
  • Ensure availability of materials as per BOM, production plan and cutting/production requirements.
  • Forecast material requirements based on production plans, consumption trends and inventory levels.
  • Ensure adequate stock of critical materials to avoid production stoppages.
  • Ensure accurate and timely SAP B1 transactions related to material inward, issue, transfer and stock.
  • Maintain system inventory accuracy and reconcile physical stock with SAP records.
  • Lead, supervise and allocate work to the store team; manage manpower, shifts and daily responsibilities.
  • Train team members on store procedures, material handling, SAP transactions and safety.
  • Ensure timely and systematic distribution of materials to different production areas.
  • Establish proper issue controls to minimize material wastage and unauthorized movement.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable, particularly for consumables and shelf-life-sensitive materials.
  • Monitor shelf life and prevent material expiry or deterioration.
  • Prepare regular reports on raw material stock, inward/outward, consumption, shortages, slow/non-moving stock, variance and material availability.
