Job summary

Visara Human Capital Services is seeking a Storage Administrator L2 with strong Ceph Storage Administration expertise to manage enterprise storage in Gurgaon/Delhi-NCR data centers and cloud environments.

You will monitor health, perform upgrades, troubleshoot complex Ceph issues, coordinate with servers, virtualization, and network teams, and ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of storage infrastructure.

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc/MCA or equivalent.
Certification in storage technologies (HPE or similar) preferred.
Experience in data centre or enterprise storage environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Administer and support Ceph storage clusters (MON, OSD, MDS, RGW, CephFS, RBD).
Monitor cluster health, performance, capacity, and availability.
Troubleshoot Ceph issues including OSD failures, PG degradation, recovery, rebalancing and latency issues.
Perform cluster expansion, upgrades, balancing, and maintenance activities.
Good understanding of SAN storage architecture with FC connectivity, zoning, multipathing, and LUN provisioning/masking.
Coordinate with server, virtualization, cloud, network, and application teams during incidents and changes.

Role & responsibilities

Role Overview

Storage Administrator L2 with strong expertise in Ceph Storage Administration and good understanding of SAN Storage technologies. The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise storage infrastructure ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and operational stability across production environments.

The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on operational experience, and the ability to work in enterprise datacenter or cloud infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support Ceph storage clusters (MON, OSD, MDS, RGW, CephFS, RBD).
Monitor cluster health, performance, capacity, and availability.
Troubleshoot Ceph issues including OSD failures, PG degradation, recovery, rebalancing and latency issues.
Perform cluster expansion, upgrades, balancing, and maintenance activities.
Good understanding of SAN storage architecture and operational concepts with working knowledge of FC connectivity, SAN switches, zoning, multipathing, and LUN provisioning/masking.
Support storage provisioning, decommissioning, and performance optimization.
Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
Troubleshoot filesystem, disk, server, and storage connectivity & performance issues.
Coordinate with server, virtualization, cloud, network, and application teams during incidents and changes.
Work with infrastructure, network, virtualization, and application teams for operational support.
Support incident, problem, and change management activities.
