Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Delhi is seeking a Storage Administrator to manage Hitachi and Dell EMC storage environments including SAN/NAS, replication, and space management. You will coordinate with OS teams and vendors to ensure high availability and performance.

The role requires hands-on storage experience, knowledge of protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, SMB), and the ability to document processes and SOPs for ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Certifications in storage administrations (NAS/SAN)
• Experience with Hitachi and Dell EMC storage
• Experience in storage replication and management consoles
• RAID configuration experience
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS/DAS and object storage
• Knowledge of storage protocols: iSCSI, FC, NFS, SMB
• Experience with data migration across DCs
• Proficient in monitoring tools and performance tuning
• Ability to create SOPs and technical docs

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity and availability of SAN/NAS hardware, network, and resources
• User creation, RBAC management, and secure access
• Provide storage provisioning to users and applications
• Configure SAN switches to connect hosts
• Create storage pools and volumes
• Monitor and maintain performance of storage devices
• Firmware upgrades per vendor recommendations
• Collaborate with OEMs/vendors and escalations
• Coordinate with OS teams (Linux, OpenShift, Windows, Backup, Networking, apps)
• Perform storage migrations and space management
• Identify risks, issues, and maintain risk registers
• Troubleshoot incidents and problems
• Handle storage commissioning and decommissioning

Storage Administrator

Hitachi Block Storage (VSP 5600), Hitachi File Storage (One File 34), Dell EMC, Hitachi Backup Appliance (Flex 5360), Object Storage (HCP), Brocade SAN Switches

Preferred candidate profile

• Certifications Any certification in Storage Administrations, NAS, SAN
• Major experience of storage administration, storage replication, storage managing Consoles, software/hardware-defined storage
• Hands-on experience in storage Hitachi and Dell EMC.
• Solid experience in configuration of storage and SAN switches
• Strong knowledge of with storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, DAS, and object storage
• Experience of configuration of RAIDs
• Strong knowledge of storage protocols, including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, and SMB Experience with backup, recovery, and replication across DCs
• Solid understanding of storage performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with storage monitoring and management tools.
• Experience in data migration in heterogeneous storage infra environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
