The Linux & Storage Administrator (L2 Support) will be responsible for the deployment, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Linux-based infrastructure and storage platforms. The role requires strong expertise in Ceph/PetaSAN storage technologies, cluster administration, virtualization environments, and enterprise server management.
The successful candidate will support large-scale storage and Linux environments, perform incident resolution, maintain infrastructure stability, and contribute to ongoing capacity, scalability, and performance improvement initiatives. This position involves working closely with infrastructure engineers, operations teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and support Linux, Unix, storage, and network infrastructure environments.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Ceph and PetaSAN storage clusters.
- Support Linux hypervisor environments, particularly KVM-based virtualization platforms.
- Build and maintain new server, rack-stack, and cluster deployments.
- Monitor infrastructure health, system performance, and storage utilization.
- Administer and troubleshoot Ceph technologies including RADOS, CRUSH Maps, RBD, CephFS, and RGW/S3.
- Configure and manage NAS, NFS, and storage-related services.
- Implement and support storage replication, erasure coding, scalability, and data recovery solutions.
- Perform Linux server administration, patch management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Linux file systems, storage volumes, and LVM configurations.
- Develop and maintain Shell and PowerShell automation scripts.
- Configure VLANs and support network connectivity requirements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, storage, server, and virtualization issues.
- Respond to incidents and service requests in accordance with operational procedures and SLAs.
- Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable infrastructure services.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma, BSc IT, Computer Science, or related technical qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux, Unix, Storage, and Network Administration.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Ceph and/or PetaSAN storage platforms.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Linux hypervisors, preferably KVM.
- Minimum 3 years of experience building server, rack-stack, and cluster environments.
- Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Linux and storage clusters.
- Strong expertise in Ceph deployment, configuration, monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of RADOS, CRUSH Maps, RBD, CephFS, RGW/S3, NAS, and NFS technologies.
- Experience with replication, erasure coding, data protection, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Strong Linux administration experience including LVM, file systems, patching, and performance tuning.
- Hands‑on experience with Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of VLAN configuration and enterprise networking concepts.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication, incident management, and service delivery skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
