We're Hiring: Storage Administrator (L2 / Senior)

We are looking for an experienced Storage Administrator with a strong L2-level background in managing SAN and NAS environments. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on expertise across SAN/NAS platforms including Synology and LaCie, combined with the ability to handle performance tuning, data protection, and cross‑team coordination in complex, high‑availability infrastructure settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer SAN and NAS storage infrastructure including Synology NAS systems and LaCie storage devices
• Provision and maintain storage resources — LUNs, volumes, file systems, shared folders, and NAS shares — while ensuring optimal capacity utilization and performance
• Administer SAN switch fabric including zoning, configuration, and ongoing maintenance
• Configure and manage Synology DSM — including user access, shared folder permissions, RAID management, and storage pools
• Implement and manage data protection solutions including snapshots, replication, and disaster recovery strategies using Synology Active Backup and Hyper Backup
• Monitor storage health and performance proactively; conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and apply tuning measures to minimize downtime
• Plan and execute firmware upgrades, patches, and storage migrations with zero data loss and minimal business disruption
• Participate in bridge calls, CAB meetings, and stakeholder engagements to facilitate seamless operations and SLA adherence
• Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, capacity trends, and change records
• Provide recommendations on storage scalability, optimization, and future infrastructure planning

Preferred Experience

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in storage administration (SAN and NAS environments)
• Hands‑on experience with Synology NAS administration — DSM, Active Backup, Hyper Backup, iSCSI, SMB/NFS
• Familiarity with LaCie direct‑attached and network storage devices
• Strong understanding of SAN fabric management, zoning, and end‑to‑end storage provisioning workflows
• Experience maintaining SLAs and SLOs in production environments with strict uptime requirements
• Exposure to ITIL‑aligned processes, incident management, and change advisory board (CAB) workflows
• Relevant storage certifications preferred (e.g. Synology Certified Professional, Azure AZ‑104)
