Job summary

Arvind is seeking an Engineer / Sr. Engineer Design & Engineering to join the Design & Engineering team in Gujarat. The role focuses on mechanical design and engineering of process equipment, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, client specs, and project requirements.

The candidate will perform design calculations, prepare TPS, and coordinate with internal teams. Exposure to PV Elite and ASME VIII Division 1 is essential, with responsibilities spanning from drawings to QA and client

Qualifications

• Hands-on PV Elite software experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division 1.
• Experience in mechanical design of pressure vessels and process equipment.
• Understanding of design calculations and material selection.
• Understanding of IBR / U Stamp / CCOE requirements is a plus.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Study client datasheets, applicable specifications, codes, and standards on work orders.
• Prepare Technical Purchase Specifications (TPS) based on client requirements and applicable codes.
• Design mechanical equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, silos and storage tanks.
• Perform design calculations per ASME VIII Division 1, IBR, IS Codes and client requirements.
• Prepare and review engineering documents, drawings and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams for design, drawing, material selection and technical requirements.
• Support approvals from Authorized Inspectors (AI) for U Stamp jobs and Directorate of Boilers for IBR jobs.
• Coordinate with third‑party inspection agencies and design consultants as required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of design calculations, engineering standards and material selection.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within project timelines.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineer / Sr. Engineer Design & Engineering to join our Design & Engineering team. The role involves mechanical design and engineering of process equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Study client datasheets, applicable specifications, codes, and standards upon receipt of work orders.


• Prepare Technical Purchase Specifications (TPS) based on client requirements and applicable codes.

• Handle projects involving ASME U Stamp, IBR, and CCOE requirements.


• Coordinate with internal teams for design, drawing, material selection, and technical requirements.


• Support design and drawing approvals from Authorized Inspectors (AI) for U Stamp jobs and the Directorate of Boilers for IBR jobs.


• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and design consultants such as Lloyds Register Asia (LRA), SGS, DCPL, EIL, Technip, Toyo, Uhde, L&T, etc., as required.


• Demonstrate sound knowledge of design calculations, engineering standards, and material selection.


• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within project timelines.


• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and design-related issues.


• Maintain a strong focus on quality and compliance throughout the design process.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience with PV Elite Software Mandatory


• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division 1


• Experience in mechanical design of pressure vessels and process equipment.


• Knowledge of design calculations and material selection.


• Understanding of IBR / U Stamp / CCOE requirements will be an advantage.


• Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
