Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design for heat exchanger projects.
• B. Tech/B.E in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with design software and standards such as ASME and PV Elite.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and strategize; coordinate with Purchase, Production and Quality for seamless project execution.
• Oversee design projects from concept to final production and monitor progress.
• Provide technical guidance to the design team on heat exchanger design principles.

Job description

Our Client has specialized in engineered process equipment where thermal performance, pressure containment, metallurgy, and fabrication quality must work together seamlessly. Factory in Mumbai Vadodara founded in 1981.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1) Planning & Strategy Coordinate with other departments, such as Purchase, Production, and Quality, to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee all aspects of design projects, from initial concept to final production. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed. Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Make an easy design concept with less man hour work. Implement standardization in the design of equipment.

2) Technical Expertise Provide technical guidance and expertise to the design team, assisting with complex design challenges and problem-solving. Stay abreast of advancements in heat exchanger technology, materials, and manufacturing processes. Serve as a subject matter expert on heat exchanger design principles and methodologies.

3) Customer Collaboration Collaborate with customers to understand their specific requirements and preferences. Provide technical support and guidance throughout the design process, addressing any concerns or questions that may arise. Solicit feedback from customers to continuously improve the quality and performance of heat exchanger designs.

4) Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the mechanical design department. Implement tools, software, and methodologies to streamline design workflows and increase productivity. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development among team members. 5) Budget & Resource Management Manage the departmental budget and allocate resources effectively to support design projects. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising design quality or performance.

6) Risk Management Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with heat exchanger designs, such as material selection, structural integrity, and performance. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential issues proactively.

7) Leadership Lead a team of mechanical designers, providing direction, support, and mentorship. Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure deadlines are met. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.

8) Training & Development Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs, arrange training, ensure they are conducted as desired, and conduct training follow-ups & feedbacks. Development of better systems and technical training Ensure company rules & SOPs are being followed and encourage a disciplined work environment

Experience: 10+ years

Qualification: B. Tech/B. E in Mechanical Engineering
