Job summary

Marutee is seeking an experienced Process Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on process engineering design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and Power projects, including deliverables, design calculations, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience, a B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, and hands-on expertise in PFDs, P&IDs, line sizing, PSV/PVRV calculations, and equipment sizing.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Process Engineering Design in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sectors.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment design.
• Hands-on experience in process calculations, equipment sizing, and relief systems.
• Experience delivering complete process deliverables for multiple projects.
• Familiarity with international engineering standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PFDs with Heat & Material Balance (HMB).
• Develop and review P&IDs.
• Perform process design calculations: line sizing, PSV, PVRV, equipment sizing, pump sizing, separator sizing.
• Prepare engineering deliverables: Equipment List, Line List, Tie-in List, Utility Summary, Operating & Control Philosophies, Cause & Effect Diagrams.
• Support process optimization and ensure compliance with project specs and standards.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Civil, and Electrical disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and technical discussions.
• Handle complete process engineering deliverables from concept through detailed engineering.

We are looking for an experienced Process Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in process engineering design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and Power projects. The role involves developing process engineering deliverables, performing design calculations, preparing engineering documentation, and supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with Heat & Material Balance (HMB).


• Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).


• Perform process design calculations, including:




• Line sizing


• Safety Relief Valve (PSV) sizing


• Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve (PVRV) calculations


• Equipment sizing


• Pump sizing


• Separator sizing




• Prepare engineering deliverables such as:

• Line List

• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and technical discussions where required.


• Handle complete process engineering deliverables for multiple projects from concept through detailed engineering.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Process Engineering Design within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Chemical, or Power industries.


• Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment design.


• Hands-on experience in:




• Process calculations


• Equipment sizing


• Utility calculations


• Relief system design


• Process documentation




• Experience in executing complete process engineering deliverables for at least 2-3 engineering projects.


• Good understanding of international engineering standards and industry best practices.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.


• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
