About the Role

We are looking for an experienced State Head Logistics to lead and manage the end-to-end logistics operations for Fly Ash and Pond Ash transportation across Telangana / Karnataka.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective movement of ash from source locations to customers in the Cement, RMC, Bricks/Blocks, and Road Construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end logistics operations for Fly Ash and Pond Ash across Telangana / Karnataka.
• Plan and ensure the timely transportation of ash to customers in:
  • Cement Plants
  • RMC Plants
  • Brick and Block Manufacturing Units
  • Road and Highway Construction Projects
• Develop and maintain a strong network of local transporters, fleet owners, logistics vendors, and contractors.
• Ensure vehicle availability and smooth placement as per business requirements.
• Negotiate transportation rates and optimize logistics costs.
• Monitor vehicle movement, turnaround time, deliveries, and operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with local stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Resolve transportation-related operational issues and ensure minimum disruption to business.
• Coordinate closely with Ash Procurement, Sales, Operations, Power Plants, Customers, and Transport Vendors.
• Develop logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Monitor transportation costs, vendor performance, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation, safety, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain MIS and provide regular updates on logistics operations, vehicle availability, transportation costs, and delivery performance.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Fly Ash / Pond Ash logistics and transportation.
• Strong experience in handling bulk transportation for Fly Ash and Pond Ash.
• Excellent database and strong relationships with:
  • Local Transporters
  • Fleet Owners
  • Logistics Vendors
  • Truck Operators
  • Local Industry Stakeholders
• Strong understanding of the Telangana / Karnataka logistics market and transportation network.
• Experience in handling logistics for Cement, RMC, Bricks/Blocks, and Road Construction sectors will be preferred.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and operational skills.
• Ability to independently manage large-scale logistics operations across the state.

Language Requirements

English Mandatory
Telugu / Kannada Mandatory

Preferred Candidate

Candidate should be from Telangana / Karnataka or have extensive experience managing logistics operations in Telangana / Karnataka.
Strong local network and connections are essential for this role.
Professionals with prior experience in Fly Ash / Pond Ash transportation and logistics will be highly preferred.
