Job summary

Zydushospitals in Ahmedabad is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide professional and comprehensive care within an assigned unit. The role covers nursing plans, patient assessments, and collaborative care across shifts.

The ideal candidate has 0-5 years of nursing experience, follows standard policies, and participates in rounds and handovers to ensure quality patient outcomes. This is a full-time on-site position with standard hospital benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience: 0-5 years as a nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care with an assigned unit according to established standards and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive care to assigned patients.
• Follow policy and deliver designated nursing interventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the documented medical plan of care.
• Take the nursing history, summarize data and state nursing diagnoses / patient care needs.
• Organize and maintain patient file and reports as per the MRD requirements in all shifts.
• Always greet with smile to patient and companion for their well-being.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and behaviours including the physiological status of patients’ reports, assessment changes to the concerned authority.
• Ensure smooth functioning of admission, discharge and transfer procedures and assist others with patients’ activities and care with collaborative manner.
• Follow handover-takeover process accurately with written/online notes.
• Ensure introduction of next shift team member to patient and patient side medication check in each shift.
• Executes physician’s orders for all assigned patients safely and properly administers medications and treatments. Read back policy.
• Ensure identification safety for collection of specimens during collection and till the report informed to consultant.
• Participate in consultant’s rounds and assist by giving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment and observations.
• Carryout routine check at each handover that all equipment are in working order.
• Keep equipments in charging.
• Ensure that all items used for patients inclusive of medications, surgical supplies are duly recorded and charged.
