• Provide professional nursing care with an assignedunit according to established standards and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive care to assigned patients.
• Follows policy and delivers designated nursinginterventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the documentedmedical plan of care.
• Takes the nursing history, summarizes data andstates nursing diagnoses / patient care needs.
• Organize and maintain patient file and reports asper the MRD requirements in all shifts.
• Ensure accurate documentation in nursingassessment sheet, pre- and post-operative documents, intake output chart, BMT chart,ICU chart etc. Don’t use other ink to erase, only strike off with single line.
• Always greet with smile to patient and companionfor their well-being.
• Observes and records signs, symptoms andbehaviours including the physiological status of patients’ reports, assessmentchanges to the concerned authority.
• Ensure smooth functioning of admission, dischargeand transfer procedures and assists others with patients’ activities and carewith collaborative manner.
• Follow handover-takeover process accurately withwritten/online notes.
• Ensure introduction of next shift team member topatient and patient side medication check in each shift.
• Executes physician’s orders for all assignedpatients safely and properly administers medications and treatments. Strictlyadhere read back policy (Refer policy no. 6 of medical admin). Keep equipment’sin charging.
• Ensure identification safety for collection ofspecimens during collection and till the report informed to consultant.
• Participate in consultant’s rounds and assist bygiving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment andobservations.
• Carry out routine check at each handover that allequipments are in working order.
• Ensure that all items used for patients inclusiveof medications, surgical supplies are duly recorded and charged.
• Ensure duringinternal transfer except the ordered medicine all other drug to be returnedbefore shifting to other unit. Follow the Chemo protocols and assist theadverse effects.
• Have full knowledgeof Neutropenic precautions and it is importance. Assist the stem cellcollection.
• Assist and handle thepost stem acute and chronic GVHD. provide post-operative care to the patientsas per their needs.
• Educate the patientas well relatives about lymphedema exercise and massaging for varioussurgeries.
• Educate the patientas well relatives about post head and neck exercise (lip, tongue and jaw)
• Have knowledge aboutcytotoxic drug management as well segregation its proper disposal methods.
• Have knowledge aboutcentral line care as well dressing precautions.
• Maintain patients andaccompanies safety by taking preventive measures against accidents.
• Accurately recordsand reports incidents. Ensure every error to be recorded.
• E nsure strictinfection control protocol and bio-waste guidelines to be followed for 24x7.
• Ensure that daily briefing points and sign off aremandatory for day to day update.
