Job summary

Nagarro is hiring a Staff Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise CMDB solutions using ServiceNow, focusing on CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping for critical applications and infrastructure. You will lead integrations via REST and SOAP APIs, configure IRE and CI relationships, and collaborate with multiple teams to improve data quality and governance, while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• 5.5+ years IT experience with CMDB/ITOM
• Hands-on CMDB, Discovery and Service Mapping implementation experience
• CSA certification mandatory; CIS Discovery/Service Mapping preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise CMDB solutions following ServiceNow best practices
• Develop and configure ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for business-critical apps and infrastructure
• Implement and maintain CSDM-aligned CMDB architecture and governance standards
• Configure and manage IRE, identification rules, and reconciliation rules
• Monitor and improve CMDB Health, including completeness, correctness, and compliance metrics
• Create, maintain, and optimize Service Maps for distributed, hybrid, and multi-tier apps
• Troubleshoot Discovery failures, identification issues, duplicate CIs, and Service Mapping problems
• Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers to enrich CMDB data
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Security, and App teams to improve CMDB data quality
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards, governance, and security best practices
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and provide recommendations for scalable ITOM solutions
• Mentor junior developers and support continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow platform

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 5.5+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong experience in CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise CMDB solutions
• Strong experience with CSDM, CMDB Governance, and Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
• Experience with CMDB Health, CI Relationships, Data Certification, and Duplicate CI Remediation
• Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Update Sets, and Scoped Applications
• Hands-on experience configuring Discovery schedules, credentials, probes, sensors, and patterns
• Experience developing and maintaining Pattern-based Discovery solutions
• Strong expertise in Top-down Service Mapping, Business Service Modeling, and Multi-tier Application Mapping
• Experience integrating CMDB with SCCM/MECM, VMware vCenter, Azure, AWS, GCP, Active Directory/Entra ID, and monitoring tools
• Strong experience working with REST and SOAP APIs for integrations
• Good understanding of ITOM processes, enterprise infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is mandatory; CIS Discovery and CIS Service Mapping certifications are preferred
