Job summary

Welspun Corp Limited, Growth Shop division, invites a seasoned planning professional to lead fabrication planning for boiler pressure parts. You will develop master schedules, coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA, and production to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource use.

The role requires strong knowledge of ASME and IBR, plus capability to generate MIS reports and drive productivity improvements across fabrication operations.

Qualifications

Plan, schedule, monitor fabrication activities for boiler pressure parts.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA, production, stores, and project teams for seamless operations.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME/IBR) and maintain fabrication documentation.
Provide timely MIS reports and drive productivity improvements across fabrication ops.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement master production schedules based on customer delivery commitments
Create detailed weekly and daily fabrication plans for boiler pressure parts including headers coils panels drums piping and pressure components
Coordinate with design procurement quality and production departments to ensure smooth execution of production plans
Review Bills of Materials BOM to ensure material availability prior to production release and coordinate with stores and procurement teams to prevent material shortages
Monitor fabrication progress against planned schedules overseeing shop floor activities such as cutting bending welding assembly PWHT NDT hydrotest and dispatch
Identify production bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions to maintain adherence to schedules
Assess machine manpower and welding resource capacity to optimize workload distribution among fabrication bays and work centers
Liaise with engineering for drawing releases and technical clarifications and coordinate with QAQC for stage inspections and final clearances
Interface with project management teams to provide updates on production status and delivery schedules
Prepare and present daily weekly and monthly production reports tracking KPIs such as schedule adherence productivity WIP material utilization and delivery performance
Ensure compliance with ASME IBR and customer specifications in fabrication planning and manage documentation related to welding NDT material traceability and quality records

Job Purpose/ Summary

To plan, coordinate, monitor, and control fabrication activities of boiler pressure parts to ensure timely delivery, optimum resource utilization, and compliance with quality and customer requirements.

Job Description

The incumbent shall be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling fabrication activities of boiler pressure parts to ensure on‑time project execution and customer satisfaction. The role involves preparation of production plans, material planning, capacity assessment, progress tracking, and coordination with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Production, Stores, and Project teams for seamless manufacturing operations.

The position will oversee fabrication activities related to headers, coils, wall panels, drums, piping systems, and other pressure parts, ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and welding resources. The incumbent shall monitor work‑in‑progress, identify production constraints, and drive corrective actions to maintain adherence to project schedules and delivery commitments.

Additionally, the role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards such as ASME and IBR, maintaining fabrication documentation, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing timely MIS reports to management for effective decision‑making. The incumbent shall actively contribute to productivity improvement, resource optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across fabrication operations.
