Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in production / assembly operations.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing and shop-floor supervision.
  • Languages: English and Hindi.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day production activities and ensure smooth workflow across lines.
  • Monitor execution of work per assembly instructions and SOPs.
  • Allocate manpower based on production needs and skill matrix.
  • Ensure adherence to cycle times and productivity standards.
  • Verify safety, quality and ERP-based production tracking.
  • Identify issues, escalate, and coordinate with quality, maintenance, and support.
  • Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
  • Coordinate with quality, fulfilment, warehouse and PPC teams.
  • Train and develop operators and technicians on processes and safety.
  • Maintain production records and ensure action closure.

  • Key missions of the position:

  • Ensure effective supervision of production operations to meet daily output and delivery targets

  • Drive adherence to safety, quality, and process standards across the shop floor

  • Manage manpower allocation and ensure optimal utilization of resources

  • Monitor production performance and take corrective actions for deviations

  • Support continuous improvement activities and maintain operational discipline

  • Ensure proper communication and coordination between teams and management

  • Daily production target achievement

  • Main responsibilities:

Production Supervision & Execution

  • Supervise day-to-day production activities and ensure smooth workflow across assigned lines or areas

  • Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan and schedule

  • Monitor execution of work as per assembly instructions, routing cards, and standard operating procedures

  • Ensure adherence to defined cycle time and productivity standards

Manpower Management

  • Allocate manpower based on production requirements and skill matrix

  • Monitor operator performance and ensure effective utilization of resources

  • Guide and support operators in resolving day-to-day production issues

  • Ensure discipline, attendance, and team coordination on the shop floor

Process & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards across all activities

  • Verify availability and proper usage of tools, equipment, jigs, and fixtures

  • Ensure all start-up checks and safety procedures are followed before production begins

  • Ensure compliance with ERP/system-based production tracking and reporting

Issue Management

  • Identify production issues, deviations, and bottlenecks during operations

  • Escalate issues promptly and ensure timely resolution and closure

  • Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and support teams to resolve process disruptions

  • Track recurring issues and support preventive actions

Performance Monitoring & Control

  • Monitor daily production performance and take corrective actions to bridge gaps

  • Ensure adherence to KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, and output targets

  • Maintain production records and ensure proper documentation

  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure action closure

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives at the shop-floor level

  • Encourage team participation in process improvements and productivity enhancement

  • Support implementation of lean practices such as 5S and standard work

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with quality, fulfilment, warehouse, and PPC teams for smooth operations

  • Ensure material availability and readiness for production activities

  • Communicate production status, issues, and updates to higher management

  • Support implementation of organizational and operational initiatives

People Management & Development

  • Supervise and guide operators and technicians on the shop floor

  • Train and support new employees on processes, safety, and quality requirements

  • Ensure skill development as per skill matrix and training plans

  • Promote team discipline, accountability, and teamwork
