Job summary

Ambattur Fashion is hiring for a role in Chennai responsible for liaising with buyers, preparing production packages, and coordinating various production processes. The position includes reviewing samples, ensuring material availability, and updating concerned departments on orders.

The candidate will oversee production activities in collaboration with the Sr. Merchandiser and attend pre-production meetings. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for corresponding with the buyer regarding Package Date, Costing and Samples availability.
• Responsible for Preparation, updating and compilation of cost sheets.
• Responsible for review of Samples for construction, fall, fit, drape and wash prior to sending to buyer.
• Ensure raw materials and style approvals are available in time to meet package date.
• Responsible for filling in Delay Schedule for ratification.
• Responsible for Preparing Production package consisting of check-list, pattern mini-marker, approved sample.
• Production file should be handed over to P.P.C department after reviewing.
• Responsible to attend Pre‑production meeting with the factory/Production Manager.
• Responsible to review of production in the factory on Wednesday.
• Responsible to send in Shipment schedule to Commercial Department on Thursday.
• Responsible to update all concerned departments on the confirmed orders.
• Responsible to sign all approvals for fabric and trims.
• Ensure Weekly review of Production chart.
• Responsible to check & approve trims swatch card after review.
• Responsible for Controlling and Co‑ordinating all activities of staff working under him.

• Responsible for review of Samples for construction, fall, fit, drape and wash prior to sending to buyer and should forward the same to R&D comments.
• Ensure raw materials and style approvals are available in time to meet package date.
• Responsible for filling in Delay Schedule and to be given to Sr.Merchandiser for ratification and a copy to be given to Document Co-ordinator.
• Responsible for Preparing Production package consisting of check‑list, pattern mini‑marker, approved sample with comments on a white patch.
• Production file which contains fab and trim swatches spec sheets, all comments, wash stds, emb/print swatches and any other relevant swatches should be handed over to P.P.C department after reviewing with the Sr.Merchandiser.
• Responsible to attend Pre‑production meeting with the factory/Production Manager.
• Responsible to review of production in the factory preferably on Wednesday post lunch session.
• Responsible to send in Shipment schedule to Commercial Department preferably on Thursday.
• Responsible to update all concerned departments on the confirmed orders.
• Responsible to sign all approvals for fabric and trims.
• Ensure Weekly review of Production chart and give feedback on the same.
• Responsible to check & approve trims swatch card when received from MMC after the review of PPC department.
• Responsible for Controlling and Co‑ordinating all activities of staff working under him.
