Job summary

Fashionc Overseas Exports is seeking a Senior Merchandiser in the textile sector. The role focuses on coordinating with buyers, arranging samples, and guiding production from proto to bulk, ensuring timely sourcing of fabrics and trims.

You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with the CAD and Sample teams to finalize production details and delivery schedules for continued export orders.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to Managing Director.
• Arrange Buyer meetings with collection of samples.
• Coordinate with CAD/Sample Dept for consumption and proto samples.
• Arrange fabric, accessories and trims for new enquiries.
• Explain enquirer to Sample Dept and arrange proto sample stitching and related steps.
• Analyze sample methods and select production approach.
• Obtain buyer approval for proto samples and fix delivery dates.
• Organize fabric, accessories & trims for bulk production.
• Conduct Pre-Production Meetings for styles.
• Raise purchase orders with Procurement for fabric, trims with prices and delivery terms.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers to reduce PP.
• Ensure on-time fabric inhouse with emb/printing and trims.
• Prepare Time & Action plans and BOM updates.
• Follow-up with factory through production stages and inform buyer of status.
• Arrange shipping documents and coordinate with Shipping Dept.
• Follow up on payments from buyer.
• Acknowledge all enquiries, orders, couriers, clarifications and emails.
• Responsible for samples, final inspections and inspectors.
• Convey inspection results to buyer or buying agency.
• Ensure clear documentation and handover to production/quality teams.

Role & responsibilities

Candidates should have experienced in garment manufacturing Exports Company.

Candidates should have good knowledge of woven fabric.

• Reporting to Managing Director
• Arranging for Buyer meetings with collection of samples.
• Getting the consumption from the SAMPLE/CAD Dept for the new enquirers and verifying the same.
• Arranging fabric, Accessories and trims for new enquirers based on the consumption given by CAD dept.
• Explaining the enquirer to Sample Dept and arrange for the Proto sample stitching, emb, printing and other value additions. For any clarifications get the approval from buyer or buying agents.
• Analyzing, Critical examining the sample methods & choosing an appropriate one for easy bulk production.
• Get the approval for the Proto samples from the buyer.Fixing the delivery dates based on the capacity of supplier and the production units and confirms the same to buyer and PPC Dept.
• Organizing fabric, Accessories & trims required for the bulk.
• Conduct Pre-Production Meeting for all styles.
• Raising purchase orders with the help of Procurement Dept for Fabric, Accessories & Trims with all the prices, delivery dates and conditions. Negotiating the prices with the supplier to reduce the PP.
• Harmonizing with All suppliers for timely in housing of fabric with emb/printing, accessories and trims.
• Preparing Time & action plans, Process Plans, Work Orders on various stages for production along with the Trim card.
• Updating BOMs Everyday and reports.
• Follow-up with factory at each stages of production and inform the real situation to buyer and confirming the shipment plans with the buyer.
• For any production difficulties get the approval from buyer and inform the same to Production Dept.
• Arrange for the shipping documents such as invoice, packing list, bill of lading, airway bill with the help of
• Shipping dept and inform the same to buyer.
• Follow up with buyer for the payment pending.
• Acknowledging all new enquirers, orders, couriers, clarifications and all the mails from buyer and supplier
• Responsible for all samples, final inspections and inspectors.
• Inspection results from internal/external are collected, analyzed and inform to buyer or buying agency.
• Ensure the communication with the customer is documented and channeled to the production/quality departments in a clear, complete and timely manner by handover the file.
