The Quarry is seeking a Sr. Manager - Human Resources to lead the entire HR function in Mumbai, reporting to the Founder. You will steer talent acquisition, development, and performance management to sustain a luxury-driven culture.

You will collaborate with founders and function heads to shape HR policies, onboarding, and employee engagement, ensuring organizational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, leadership and strategic planning skills.
• 12+ years of Human Resource Management experience, preferably in luxury or high-growth startups.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full spectrum of HR practices including talent acquisition, development, performance management and organizational effectiveness.

Overview

As the Sr. Manager - Human Resources, you will lead the entire HR function, driving talent acquisition, talent
management, learning and development, performance management, and overall organizational
effectiveness. You will work closely with the Founder and department heads to ensure a high-performance,
luxury-driven work culture.
Reports to: The role requires working closely with and reporting to the Founder.

What would you be required to do?

• Lead the entire gamut of HR practices, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Performance Management, and Organizational Effectiveness.
• Manage Key HR processes, including payroll input, recruitment, onboarding, HR metrics, and benefits administration, Employee Engagement, and continuous improvement of HR systems while overseeing the HR budget.
• Lead the talent acquisition process from sourcing to onboarding for both campus and lateral positions, use new recruiting strategies to attract top-tier talent within the luxury industry.
• Collaborate with HODs to develop and execute job descriptions for recruitment requirements.
• Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, by integrating luxury and personalization into onboarding/orientation programs.
• Develop and implement an onboarding strategy that instils a sense of belonging and pride among the new members.
• Cultivate a culture of elegance and sophistication, where every interaction, from onboarding to evaluation represents luxury.
• Analyze and report HR metrics, like cost per hire and retention rates.
• Dealing with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action, when necessary, while promoting good job performance.
• Take a lead role in transforming and strengthening the organizational culture, ensuring alignment with the company's luxury ethos.
• Design company policies and procedures to establish clear guidelines and protocols for organizational operations.
• Frequently update HR policies and practices to align with the industry-leading standards.
• Understand business objectives to make and executive hiring strategies.
• Collaborate with Functional Heads/Reporting Managers to create KPIs and KRAs for the team members.

What skills we are looking for?

Education:

• MBA in Human Resources or a related field.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 12 plus years of Human Resource Management work experience, preferably in the luxury industry or high growth startup environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, proactive personality
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing startup environment
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize, problem-solve and use your initiative.

Work Timings:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Half Day)
